Halloween recipes for all times

In my traditions, celebrations do not have to be just for one day. If it is not for a little longer than a week then it is not done; as we say, the more the merrier!
Halloween might be long over, but not for me! My favorite Halloween recipes are not over yet. Foods are at the core of all celebrations, and if there is only one time a year to cherish certain foods then I will definitely take my time with them.
Keeping up with the spirits of Halloween before Christmas kicks in, I will share with you some of my favorite foods for the occasion. Try some of them and let the celebrations survive a little longer.
Best Halloween drinks:
Whether you prefer cooking a family meal, watching the ball drop, or throwing a party with friends, you surely need drinks. Champagne or wine might be a good option to serve your guests, but pumpkin juice is the one drink you never have enough of it!
Harry Potter Pumpkin Juice:
The internet is swamped by various recipes; the best version of this drink, however, is the famous Harry Potter juice. In case you would like to try it at home instead of buying it ready, here is the simplest way to achieve your goal:
Ingredients:
- 1 butternut squash, seeds removed, and 2 cups of water
- OR 2 cups of canned pumpkin and 1/4 cup of water
- 2 and half a cup pumpkin juice
- 6 cups of apple juice
- 1 cup of apricot nectar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 4 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
- 1 cup of sugar
Preparation method:
Start by roasting the butternut squash covered in water, in the oven for about 40 minutes on 180 C/ 355 F. once perfectly cooked, place the squash in a blender, add clean water, and blend.
Put the pumpkin juice you got in a saucepan, add the rest of the ingredients, and leave it to boil to reduce the water content.
Finally, leave it to chill and then serve it and enjoy the incredible taste with your guests. If you are hosting a large party, then maybe you will need to triple the ingredients.
Poison apple cocktail:
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup of apple cider
- 1/3 cup of cranberry juice
- 2 oz. fireball
- 1 oz. grenadine
- 1/4 teaspoon of edible gold glitter
- Ice
It is really simple and easy to prepare this drink; just put all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake for about a minute or even less. Pour and serve. If you would like to prepare it in a batch, then simply multiply the ingredients per the servings you need.
Espresso Martini:
If you are a coffee lover then you must be fond of this particular drink. The espresso martini is a great way to kick starts a party. Here is how to make it:
Ingredients:
- Espresso or cold brew concentrate
- Coffee liqueur
- Simple syrup
- Vodka
Determine the quantity according to your guests' list. Put all ingredients in a shaker and shake for 20 seconds max. Strain into glasses, cover half of the glass with a paper towel, dust the other half with cocoa powder, and finally garnish with coffee beans for a more elegant look.
Halloween appetizers:
We all need a few appetizers before jumping to dinner and heavy meals. Halloween appetizers are usually spooky and delicious. On the top of the list, you could find the following.
Ghost pizza bagels:
You will need slices of mozzarella, mini bagels, 1/2 cup of marinara, and black olives. To prepare it, cut the mozzarella into ghost shapes, spread a bit of marinara on each pizza bagel, and add the mozzarella ghosts on top.
Bake them in a preheated oven for ten minutes until the cheese melts. Cut the black olives into small pieces, take the bagels out of the oven, decorate them with the cut olives as eyes, and serve.

Halloween recipes for dinner:
Unlike Christmas, celebrating Halloween eve with family around a passionately cooked meal can rely on the chef to be creative. You can make a plethora of dishes and please everyone around the table. So, what is a good dinner for Halloween? If you are a die-hard fan of Halloween themes then you will definitely love these scary, yet incredibly seductive foods.
Mummy hot dogs:
They are easy to make, delicious, and the kids will adore them. All you will need is a crescent roll sheet or dough, hot dogs, thick slices of pepper jack cheese, nonstick spray, and yellow mustard.
First of all, open and unroll the crescent roll sheet and cut ¼ - ½ wide strips, you will get 24 in total.
Cut each slice of cheese into four rectangles. One at a time, take a hot dog and wrap it in a piece of cheese. Then, wrap them both in strips of dough.
Spray a baking sheet with the non-stick spray and place the hot dogs on top with the cheese side down. Put them in a preheated oven for 14 minutes max. Leave them to cool and then add two dots of mustard as eyes and you will have your mummies ready to be consumed.
Pumpkin lasagna roll-ups:
Pumpkin is not just for decorations and does not only yield amazing juice, it can be used to cook a delicious dinner.
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 18 lasagna noodles
- 1 tablespoon of salted butter
- 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- 3 cups of milk
- Black pepper
- 1 and a quarter cup of grated parmesan cheese
- Pinch of grated nutmeg
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 and a half cups of pumpkin puree
- One 16-ounce container whole-milk ricotta cheese
- 4 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons of chopped fresh sage
Cook the lasagna noodles in a boiled pot of water and salt. Drain them in cold water and rinse, then, lay them on a sheet of foil.
In a saucepan, melt the butter, add the flour, and whisk for one minute and then add the milk. Add a teaspoon of salt and a pinch of pepper and whisk constantly. Leave it to cook for about ten minutes and when it thickens whisk in 1/3 cup parmesan, nutmeg and cayenne until they melt. Finally, add one cup of pumpkin puree and blend for a while and leave the sauce aside.
Combine the ricotta, mozzarella, ¾ cup of parmesan, the remaining ½ cup of pumpkin, the egg, sage, 1 teaspoon of salt, and a few grinds of pepper in a large bowl.
Arrange your lasagna the way you like it, either rolled or spread, in a baking dish and put it in a preheated oven for fifteen minutes covered with paper foil and then for another ten minutes without the foil. Let it cool and serve.
